Supporting Your Library

How to get involved!

Volunteering

With only two paid half time librarians it is clear that our library runs on volunteers.  There are volunteers who come each week and assist the librarians with the running of the library.  Such positions include duties at the circulation desk helping patrons with checking books in and out, shelving books, checking donations against the catalog to see if the items might be added to the collection, labeling and covering books to be added to the shelves and book repair.  Come find out what happens in your library and give us a bit of your time.  Volunteer applications are available at the Circulation Desk at the library and training is provided.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library (FOL) is a non-profit organization which owns the Library building and property, and funds the operations of the library.  Dues are $25 year and can be paid on-line or at the library.  The FOL has two major funding raising events each year: in February (the Benefit Gala) and in May (the Cowboy Breakfast) as well as an annual appeal that is sent out in September.
